Huawei Watch D to come with blood pressure monitor, expected to launch in December

  NEW DELHI: Huawei is reportedly working on a new smartwatch. Likely to be called Huawei Watch D, the upcoming wearable of the company is said to be the first smartwatch of the manufacturer that can be used to measure blood pressure from the wrist. Now, renders of the upcoming smartwatch have surfaced online revealing the design of the device. Huawei is expected to launch the smartwatch next month in China.

  A tipster has shared the promo images of the smartwatch on Chinese social media website Weibo. The images shared online suggest that the wearable will sport a rectangular design display with two buttons placed on the right side. The buttons can be reportedly used for accessing health and home options. As mentioned above, this will be the first Huawei smartwatch to come with the ability to monitor blood pressure. The device is said to match the standards of medical devices and promise to offer high accuracy rate.

  The yet-to-launch watch huawei D has also obtained the State Drug Administration Class II medical registration certificate. The company is expected to launch the Huawei Watch D by the end of December. The company has not yet revealed the exact launch date and specifications of the smartwatch.

  Recently, Huawei launched the Watch GT 2 Pro smartwatch in India. The smartwatch comes in two variants -- Sports and Classic priced at Rs 22,990 and Rs 24,990 respectively. The watch face is made of sapphire for the 1.39-inch AMOLED display, has a harder and textured exterior which is scratch-resistant while the watch frame is made of titanium.

  The watch enables its users to track their heart rate, blood oxygen saturation, sleep quality and stress level 24/7. The company claims that the battery on the watch will last for 2 weeks under normal use. The Watch GT 2 Pro comes with over 100 sports modes.
